Bees Gathering Water
Human’s aren’t the only species in need of water.
Bees, there are all kinds of bees! Some of the most popular ones are the honey bees, but another pollinator is the mason bee, and we can’t live without them, unless you want to go out and pollinate all the flowers in the world. Some villages in China have lost all their bees, so they go out into the apple orchards and pollinate each and every blossom. The bees are dying from toxins and viruses [colony collapse disorder or CCD], so why not do our best to make life easier for them and in turn life might be better for the rest of us and help us keep important food on our tables. Avoid “pest” control because they use toxins that will kill the bees and possibly many other beneficial insects, every one has it’s purpose or job to do.
One day, I noticed bees lingering around the plants, but they had no flowers, so when I looked closer they were digging into the potting soil for water. I’ve been keeping water in them for the bees, and it’s fun to watch them fill themselves up and then take off, they sometimes loose their altitude, but then gain their momentum and take off.
On those hot day’s or any other day put some water out in your garden and the bees will find it. Other bugs and insects may also find it useful. The other day I seen a wasp hanging around as well [wasps are great for catching spiders and other unwanted insects]. Just watch out for standing water that could be a breading place for mosquitoes.

Water for the Bees
To avoid over watering your potted plants, put an empty pot with soil and keep it filled with water, but they will also take water from smaller watering areas as well. If you like bees, like I do, then you might think about getting a bees nest or mason bees nest for your garden! [$20.00 off first order; just search for your bees]
Maybe some one else has a better idea on how to set water out for the bees? Also, check out this bee t-shirt!
[Sorry about the google add links! They're showing bee removal companies that kill the bees! WTF! Here we have a shortage of bees because of toxins and viruses causing colony collapse, but these companies are still killing bees!!]
